TV Entertainment and its effect
When I was younger, busy with school matters without homework help, there were Saved by the Bell, California Dreams, Sex and the City, and Friends. A little fast forward, tv series like Dawson's Creek, 7 th Heaven, Gilmore Girls got me glued in the small screen. Then came more daring shows like Desperate Housewives. Those who are in for some happenings in the hospital goes for Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. The new generation though now goes gaga over Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill.

What makes me disturbed is that the effect on too much immersion on tv entertainment might be the reason why we seem to now live in a personalistic society. In trying to emulate our favorite character, we begin to lose the identity we have kept---bringing us into an illusion of attaining, the same, exact path of the idolized persona.

Social and civil obligations seemed to be overshadowed by more self-absorbed concerns.
